Do you worry about the color of your teeth? We all do at one point in time or another. If you are worried about dental stains, then there is some good news for you. You can help manage dental stains and keep your teeth whiter starting today. While you always have the option of coming in for a dental whitening procedure, you may not want to do that right this moment. That's fine. Here are a few things you can do at home to help until you decide that a whitening procedure is right for you. How to Avoid Dental StainsOne easy way of avoiding dental stains is to watch what you eat and drink. Some foods and beverages are known to cause dental stains more than others. This includes beverages like coffee, sports drinks, and teas. Plus, this includes foods like beets, berries, and curry. There are many items that can lead to dental stains, so if you want to avoid them, make sure to be careful about what you consume. Another way of avoiding dental stains is to make sure you are keeping up with your oral hygiene routine. This means brushing two times each day. This also means rinsing with mouthwash after flossing, at least once per day. Plus, you also need to come in and get cleanings every six months from us. If you want an extra tip, you can also boost the power of your toothpaste at home. Take your toothbrush and apply your toothpaste like normal. Then, dab the toothpaste into a tiny bowl of baking soda, just getting a little bit on there. Brush like that. The baking soda will rub off any surface stains your teeth may already have.
