About Us We are a dental practice located in Eugene Oregon devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles!Our PhilosophyWe treat every patient as though we were treating a family member. To learn more about our doctors, team and office click on the links below:Our front office team will discuss with you two ways you can enter our practice:Some people only want one painful or problematic area looked at. Your initial exam will be shorter and more problem-focused. We always try to alleviate pain or discomfort at that first visit and if there isn't time for a long-term fix, we schedule a follow-up appointment promptly. Other people want a more comprehensive approach. You will be scheduled for a comprehensive exam by one of our Doctors which will include a discussion with the Doctor regarding your goals and past dental conditions. Next we will check the health of your gums, all of your teeth for cavities, cracks, and other general dental problems. We will then take any necessary x-rays as recommended by doctor. Finally, you'll be scheduled back for either a professional cleaning, or consultation with the doctor and hygienist, based on her initial evaluation. Education & PreventionAs a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide "dental health care" vs. "disease care". That's why we focus on thorough exams—checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, but we're also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health. Sedation DentistryA lot of people have a true fear of seeing a dentist. Dr. Vivona is licensed to perform IV moderate sedation for your comfort. Dr. Vivona is licensed to perform minimal sedation which includes a sedative pill and the use of nitrous oxide "laughing gas". If you have been avoiding dental work because of fear or a bad experience in the past, we invite you to come meet us. If you feel comfortable after that first meeting, we can schedule a check-up so that we can tell you what your treatment needs are and how we can make you comfortable and relaxed during your visits. Uncompromising SafetyInfection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). All of our x-rays are digital which use as little as 10% of the radiation of a film based system. Your safety is our number one priority. Emergency TreatmentWe ALWAYS try to get you in right away if you have a dental emergency. If you are in pain or break off a front tooth, we know you just can't wait. Give us a call as soon as your emergency occurs, even if it happens "after hours" as we will leave an emergency number on our voicemail so you can get ahold of one of our doctors right away. Training & ExpertiseAs your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care.
