We are a dental practice located in Eugene Oregon devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles!
We treat every patient as though we were treating a family member. We aim to help each patient achieve the best oral health they desire, recognizing that not every patient has the same goals.
Our front office team will discuss with you three ways you can enter our practice:
Some people only want one painful or problematic area looked at. Your initial exam will be shorter and more problem-focused. We always try to alleviate pain or discomfort at that first visit and if there isn't time for a long-term fix, we schedule a follow-up appointment promptly.
Other people want a "cleaning and a check-up" for their first visit. You will be scheduled for 2 hours with one of our amazing hygienists. We will take necessary x-rays, check the health of your gums and do your cleaning, as long as you don't have gum disease (periodontal disease). You will also have an exam by one of our doctors to check all of your teeth for cavities, cracks and other general dental problems.
Finally, there are some patients who know they have many concerns, or want to change the esthetics of their smile, or have jaw discomfort. For those patients, we will schedule a longer comprehensive exam with one of our doctors. We will do a thorough exam of your mouth, teeth, gums, and jaw joints and give you a full report on our findings. Often, several treatment options are available, and we will have a discussion with you about which option fits best with your desires and goals.
Education & Prevention
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
A lot of people have a true fear of seeing a dentist. Dr. Vivona is licensed to perform IV moderate sedation for your comfort. Both Dr. Azimi and Dr. Vivona are licensed to perform minimal sedation which includes a sedative pill and the use of nitrous oxide "laughing gas". If you have been avoiding dental work because of fear or a bad experience in the past, we invite you to come meet us. If you feel comfortable after that first meeting, we can schedule a check-up so that we can tell you what your treatment needs are and how we can make you comfortable and relaxed during your visits.
Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). All of our x-rays are digital which use as little as 10% of the radiation of a film based system. Your safety is our number one priority.
We ALWAYS try to get you in right away if you have a dental emergency. If you are in pain or break off a front tooth, we know you just can't wait. Give us a call as soon as your emergency occurs, even if it happens "after hours" as we will leave an emergency number on our voicemail so you can get a hold of one of our doctors right away.Training & Expertise
As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
